Paisley Pirates have booked their place in the Scottish National League play-off semi-finals after a 4–2 aggregate victory over Kirkcaldy Kestrels.

The tie, played across the weekend of Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th April, saw the Pirates produce a disciplined and controlled performance over both legs.

Paisley took charge in the first leg on home ice with a 2–0 win. Marty Simpson scored both goals in a confident display, helping the side build a two-goal advantage heading into the return fixture. He was named Man of the Match.

The Pirates travelled to Fife the following night knowing the job was only half done. The Kestrels pushed to get back into the tie, but Paisley remained composed under pressure.

Goals from Fraser Kerr and Ryan Parkin helped secure a 2–2 draw on the night, which was enough to see the Pirates progress.

The result confirmed a 4–2 aggregate win and a place in the semi-finals, with Simpson again named Man of the Match after another strong performance.

Paisley will now face Edinburgh Capitals in the semi-final at the Dundee Ice Arena on Saturday 18th April, with a 2:00pm face-off. A win would see them progress to Sunday’s final.

The play-off weekend will also include a full schedule of matches and events, including an Under-16 girls showcase and the Recreational Knock Out Cup Final.

Supporters are being encouraged to travel to Dundee to back the team as they aim to continue their push for silverware.
