Congratulations to Thorn Athletic Black 14s after they lifted the West 14s 11v11 League Plate following a 3-0 win over Finnart Girls Blues 14s.
The Johnstone side secured the trophy at Holm Park on Sunday, 6th September 2026, completing the amazing run through the competition.
Goals from Maisie K, Ava and Maisie C gave Thorn a 3-0 victory in the final.
Captain Ava Hay was also named Player of the Match.
Thorn began their route to the final with a 7-2 win over Bishopton 14s White on 24th May.
They followed that with a 9-0 victory over Port Glasgow Juniors CSC Girls Under 14s Blacks on 7th June.
Their next League Plate match came on 29th August, when Thorn travelled to face Phoenix U14 Blacks and won 5-1.
That set up the final against Finnart Girls Blues 14s at Holm Park, where three more unanswered goals secured the trophy.
The success is the first competitive trophy won by Thorn Athletic’s girls academy.
