Thorn Athletic are back on the road tomorrow as they travel to Airdrie to face Gartcairn in the West of Scotland Football League First Division.
The sides meet at MTC Park on Saturday, 8th August 2026, with kick-off at 2pm.
It will be the first meeting between Thorn and Gartcairn since Thorn joined the West of Scotland Football League.
Thorn go into the weekend sitting second in the First Division with six points from their opening three matches.
They started the season with a 5-1 win away to Cambuslang Rangers before recording a 4-0 victory at Neilston.
Their winning start came to an end last weekend when Kilsyth Rangers left Thorn Park with a 1-0 victory.
Despite that defeat, Thorn have scored nine goals and conceded just twice in their opening three league matches.
Gartcairn are also on six points after winning two of their opening three games and sit fifth in the table.
They began with a 2-0 victory away to Whitletts Victoria before losing 2-1 at Thorniewood United.
Gartcairn returned to winning ways last weekend with a 3-0 victory away to Cambuslang Rangers.
The match comes after a busy week of squad news for Thorn.
Ryan Connelly has joined the club from Kilbirnie Ladeside, while Mickey Wilson has also made the move from Kilbirnie, returning to Thorn after previously playing for the club during their amateur days.
Mikey Moynihan has joined on loan from Kilwinning Rangers until Christmas, while Nathan McLelland has agreed a contract extension which will keep him at Thorn until the end of the 2027/28 season.
David Gallagher has been made available for transfer, while Kieran Evans has been made available for loan with a view to a permanent move.
Thorn are one point behind early First Division leaders Lesmahagow Juniors, who have seven points from their opening three games.
A victory at MTC Park would take Thorn onto nine points after four matches.
